NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor - OV5693 Driver
Overview OV5693 Driver
The OV5693 is a 5MP 1/4-inch CMOS image sensor from OmniVision that connects via MIPI CSI-2 and supports up to 2592x1944 video at 30fps. It features good low-light performance, is controlled over I2C/SCCB, and is commonly used in mobile and embedded systems.
RidgeRun has developed support for OV5693 Driver in a custom board of NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor.
Driver features
The following table shows the features of the driver.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Format | 10-bit Bayer BGBG/GRGR |
| Resolutions and framerate | 2592x1944@30fps |
| 2592x1458@30fps | |
| 1280x720@120fps | |
| Connection | CSI port 2 of Thor |
| Camera controls | * Supports group and HDR modes, EEPROM/OTP/fuse ID data readout, gain and exposure control (short and long), frame rate adjustment, and sensor configuration access. |
| * Additional options include bypass/override modes, low latency mode, preferred stride, capture timeout, and read-only sensor property packets for signal, image, and control data. |
GStreamer Pipeline
You can use the following pipeline to generate a sample image.
gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc sensor-mode=0 num-buffers=1 ! capsfilter caps="video/x-raw(memory:NVMM),width=2592,height=1944" ! perf ! queue ! nvvidconv ! queue ! nvjpegenc ! jpegparse ! filesink location=image.jpeg -e
You can change the resolution and framerate by changing the sensor mode.
| Sensor mode | Resolution and Framerate |
|---|---|
| 0 | 2592x1944@30fps |
| 1 | 2592x1458@30fps |
| 2 | 1280x720@120fps |
