This section provides an overview of the main software components included in JetPack 7.0 for Jetson AGX Thor. It covers Host and Target modules available in SDK Manager, along with component versions and toolchain updates.
Linux for Tegra (Jetson Linux)
JetPack 7.0 ships with NVIDIA® Jetson™ Linux 38.2, which includes:
- Linux Kernel: 6.8.12
- Ubuntu Base OS: 24.04 LTS
- Bootloader: UEFI
- Toolchain: aarch64 gcc-13.2-glibc-2.28 for 64-bit kernel and user space
Main JetPack Software Component and Tools
AI Components
- CUDA Toolkit: Provides tools and libraries for developing GPU-accelerated applications.
- cuDNN: GPU-accelerated library for deep learning primitives (convolution, normalization, etc.).
- TensorRT: High-performance inference runtime for deep learning models.
AI Frameworks
- PyTorch: Flexible deep learning framework with strong GPU support.
- TensorFlow: Comprehensive ML framework supporting GPU-accelerated deployment.
- JAX: NumPy-compatible library for high-performance numerical computing.
- Triton Inference Server: NVIDIA's scalable inference deployment engine.
Multimedia Data Processing
- VPI: Vision Programming Interface for accelerated image and vision processing on GPU, PVA, OFA, and CPU.
- Multimedia API: Low-level interface for camera capture, encoding/decoding, image scaling, and ISP access via V4L2 and LibArgus.
- GStreamer: Multimedia framework with NVIDIA plugins for camera, codec, and converter integration with zero-copy pipelines.
- OpenCV: Optimized computer vision library with CUDA support. JetPack includes version 4.8.
- CuPVA Runtime: Enables offloading supported vision tasks to the Jetson Programmable Vision Accelerator (PVA).
JetPack Developer Components
- Nsight Developer Tools: Profiling, debugging, and performance analysis across AI and graphics workloads.
- Cross-compiler and diagnostic utilities: Toolchains and debugging utilities for compiling on the host and deploying to Jetson.
Supported SDKs
- NVIDIA DeepStream SDK: Toolkit for accelerated video analytics and streaming inference.
- NVIDIA Isaac ROS: ROS 2 packages for robotics, hardware-accelerated and Jetson-optimized.
- NVIDIA Holoscan SDK: AI stream-processing SDK for real-time edge applications.
