The boot device is the memory component from where the bootloader and the operating system keep the necessary files to successfully boot the device. The boot order is a configuration that is used by the PBL (Primary Boot Loader) firmware, which is the first software to load after powering up the platform, to search in the boot devices, in the determined order, and load the bootloader, from the device it was found, into main memory. The Thundercomm TurboX C8550 Developer kit has the following boot devices:

  • UFS (Universal Flash Storage): This device is the 128GB Flash memory located in the QCS8550 SoM.
