This wiki page provides a comprehensive overview of JetPack versions and their lifecycles. It includes a comparison table highlighting the component version changes between JetPack 5 and 6. Additionally, it details the roadmap for upcoming releases and end-of-life dates for JetPack versions 4, 5, and 6.

Versions of JetPack components

Table 1 summarizes the version updates with respect to the latest JetPack 5 release.

JetPack branch roadmap and important dates

JetPack 4 will reach the end of its life in the first quarter of 2024. The ongoing releases for JetPack 5 will include only security fixes and important bug patches, with its end of life scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. JetPack 6, the new feature branch until 2026, is set to reach the end of its life in the third quarter of 2028. The Figure 1 shows the timeline of these dates.

Software roadmap

For JetPack 5, version 5.1.3 is scheduled for release in December 2023, followed by version 5.1.4 in April 2024, and version 5.1.5 in the fourth quarter of 2024.

For JetPack 6, the production release of version 6.0 is planned for March 2024, with version 6.1 expected in the third quarter of 2024. The Figure 2 shows the timeline of these release dates.
