Toradex Easy Installer
Toradex Easy Installer (TEZI) is a Linux-based standard tool provided by Toradex. It comes pre-installed on newer Toradex System on Modules and is the recommended method for flashing operating system images. The tool is designed to allow users to install operating system images into the internal flash memory of Toradex modules in an extremely simple way. It provides an easy-to-use graphical interface that guides the user through the installation process and helps simplify the initial setup of a system.
Toradex Easy Installer runs completely in memory, allowing the internal flash to be erased, re-partitioned, formatted, or written during the installation process. The image to be flashed can be obtained over the internet using an Ethernet connection, or from local storage devices such as a USB flash drive or an SD card. This flexibility allows developers to easily deploy both Toradex reference images and custom images.
In addition to development use cases, Toradex Easy Installer can also be used in production environments. The tool supports automated installation workflows that enable no-touch installation of custom images during volume production. Advanced users can also configure installation behavior using options such as pre-install and post-install scripts or customized partitioning schemes.
