Introduction to RidgeRun Product Demos

RidgeRun has a wide variety of products in its catalog. These products offer our clients different ways tackle their multimedia solutions. In order help our clients find the best match for their needs, RidgeRun provides examples on how to use the products. The examples are designed to display the capabilities of each GStreamer plugin and show how to add them to a pipeline. These examples have been gathered under a common git repository. These examples are a basic demo of the GStreamer plugins and do not account for performance optimization. The pipelines used can be further improved to fit the use case. This collection of examples is meant to be used after the installing of the products. Instructions for building and installing each product can be found in the corresponding product wiki. The user is not required to obtain the full range of products, each example is independent of the other. The examples are also intended to avoid the need of extra hardware and changes to the users network settings. Some examples do have secondary options that require devices such as cameras or microphones, but the user is free to not use these options.

The repository also has a reference design section. This is intended for more complex example applications of the products. These may need multiple products to be used, in which case the necessary products will be pointed out in the documentation.
