This section presents a set of metadata use cases designed to illustrate the wide range of applications that can benefit from RidgeRun’s software solutions.
The following scenarios are highlighted:
- Surveillance or reconnaissance drones: A common use case involves the transmission of MISB metadata embedded within an MPEG-TS stream.
- Video analysis with bounding boxes or detected objects: This type of data can be embedded as metadata using SEI (Supplemental Enhancement Information).
For each use case, a detailed description of the application scenario is provided, outlining how and why metadata is employed in that particular context. Additionally, the RidgeRun products and solutions applicable to each case are identified, demonstrating how our tools can be used to implement the required functionality. Finally, an example script is included to simulate the use case and showcase how metadata can be effectively integrated and utilized in practice.
