Overview

GstV4l2 Plugins for TX1/TX2 is fork of the Gst Plugins Good that enables the usage of the V4l2 compliant devices exposed on TX1 and TX2, for capture, converting, encoding and decoding under development by RidgeRun. In order to help our customers support multimedia applications on the Tegra platforms, Ridgerun found the need to support the V4l2 devices exposed by the Tegra Multimedia drivers using the decode/encode/convert standard plugins on the Gst plugins good. Since we found some inherent changes between the way the V4l2 devices in Tegra multimedia drivers should be managed and the standard device management in the Gst plugins Good we created the GstV4l2 Plugins for TX1/TX2.

Features

The plugins are created in order to expose three elements:

Encoder
Decoder
Converter

Supported

Currently, only a limited amount of plugins are supported. We keep this list with the elements that are currently tested
