SD Card Test Spartan 6 LX45T/OMAP L138

All the process I made was with a an SD CARD 4GB.

Create a partition FAT32 on the SD-card (see the section HOw to create a bootable SD card)

Plug your sd card to your avnet OMAP-L138 evm board and start it, Check the initial message when the board boots, to be sure your board recognize the sd card.

/ # dmesg | grep mmc
[    2.240000] davinci_mmc davinci_mmc.0: Using DMA, 4-bit mode
[    2.480000] mmc0: new high speed SDHC card at address 0002�[    2.490000] mmcblk0: mmc0:0002 00000 3.81 GiB�[    2.500000]  mmcblk0: p1

Check the device for the mmc

/ # ls /dev/mmc*
/dev/mmcblk0    /dev/mmcblk0p1

Mounting the device

/ # mkdir sdcard
/ # mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 sdcard

Writing on the device

/ # cd sdcard/
/sdcard # ls
file
/sdcard # dmesg>>file 

check on your pc host the file has been written. umount the device.
